Zakiya Owens, MS, PA-C, CHC, is a Physician Assistant, Certified Health Coach, and founder of Zakiya Owens Coaching, where she helps women in midlife transform their health through sustainable lifestyle change. With more than a decade of clinical experience, Zakiya brings a unique blend of medical expertise, behavior change science, and compassionate coaching to her work.
Her passion for lifestyle medicine grew from recognizing that many women, especially women in midlife, are navigating stress, hormonal shifts, fatigue, weight changes, and chronic disease risk while simultaneously caring for careers, families, and everyone around them. Through evidence-based education and practical strategies, she empowers women to better understand their bodies and build realistic habits that support long-term vitality, strength, and well-being.
Zakiya’s approach focuses on the foundational pillars of health, including nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, mindset, and connection. Rather than promoting quick fixes or perfection, she helps women create meaningful, sustainable shifts that align with their real lives.
